Our Story
Established in Oslo in late 2025, KATRA is an independent jewelry studio run by a single artist. My art is dedicated to the intersection of mineralogy, history, art and silversmithing.
In a loud, overstimulated world we go back to what is real — a need for real beauty, sustainable materials. We favor the deep history of natural stone. We let the material speak and tell its story through form, texture and time.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I started KATRA in the autumn of 2025 from my home in Oslo. This is where my studio is currently residing and operating.
What began as a private collection of minerals evolved into a realization: jewelry is the perfect vessel for wearing a landscape and a story, literally.
During the past year KATRA has been steadily growing thanks to the passion in jewelry, mineralogy, art, history and silversmithing. I design, make or hand-assemble all jewelry in my studio. On this journey I met raw material suppliers I trust and collaborate with to create unique forms from rough stone.
When I started KATRA, I wanted everything to speak quality. I hand-pick stones, I test materials, I discard them and try to break them on purpose — all to make sure I design for longevity.

Each piece of KATRA jewelry is designed, assembled or made by hand. This approach ensures a consistent level of craftsmanship and precision. Producing on a small scale allows you to own something special.

WHERE AND HOW KATRA JEWELRY IS MADE?
All jewelry is designed, hand-assembled or handmade in my studio in Oslo. Every component I use, created or sourced, passes my very human quality assurance system — based on my eyes, skills, knowledge, technology, and testing methods. My jewelry is a combination of modern and traditional craft techniques.
WHERE DO YOU SOURCE MATERIALS?
I source materials from various suppliers specializing in natural stone around the world, as well as cooperate with professional lapidaries to create custom items based on my designs.
DO YOU COLLECT TAX?
At the moment, if you purchase a jewelry piece from me, KATRA does not collect VAT. VAT may apply when shipping internationally. No VAT when shipping domestically.
DO YOU SHIP WORLDWIDE?
At the moment I ship withing Norway and non-EU contries on demand. If your country of residence is outside EU, drop an email at salut@katra.studio and I will accommodate shipping options for you. I can also consider shipping to EU on demand, but with the new PPWR regulation this became incredibly difficult.
