Established in Oslo in late 2025, KATRA is an independent jewelry studio dedicated to the intersection of mineralogy, art and silversmithing.
In a loud, overstimulated world we go back to what is real — a need for real beauty, sustainable materials. We favor the deep history of natural stone. We let the material speak and tell its story through form, texture and time.
Meet the Founder
I started KATRA in the autumn of 2025 from my home in Oslo. This is where KATRA Studio is currently residing and operating. I started designing jewelry a year earlier as a creative outlet during quite turbulent, but interesting times of my life.
I am a marketing professional of more than 14 years who decided to start for myself. This meant to create a brand, a product from zero, I would be proud of. What began as a private collection of minerals evolved into a realization: jewelry is the perfect vessel for wearing a landscape.
During the past year KATRA has been steadily growing and slowly gaining following — thanks to my passion in jewelry, mineralogy, art, history and silversmithing. But more so, thanks to my first customers who believed in KATRA at its very first steps, and trusted that I provide a professional, high-quality product that is worth it.
KATRA is a new venture. I make or hand-assemble all jewelry you see at KATRA myself in my studio. On this journey I met suppliers I trust and collaborate with to create unique forms from raw stone.
When I started KATRA, I wanted everything to speak quality. I hand-pick stones, I test materials, I discard them and break them on purpose — all to make sure I design for longevity. I don’t use plastic or other materials that are not sustainable or can’t be repurposed.

Each piece of KATRA jewelry is designed, assembled or made by hand. This approach ensures a consistent level of craftsmanship and precision. Producing on a small scale allows you to own something special.

WHERE AND HOW KATRA JEWELRY IS MADE?
All our jewelry is designed, hand-assembled or handmade in our studio in Oslo. Every component we use, created or sourced, passes our very human quality assurance system — based on our eyes, skills, knowledge and technology, and testing methods.
WHERE DO YOU SOURCE MATERIALS?
We source materials from various suppliers specializing in natural stone around the world, as well as cooperate with professional lapidaries to create custom items based on our designs.
IS TAX INCLUDED IN PRICES ON YOUR WEBSITE?
Tax is not included. At the moment, KATRA is not collecting VAT. Additional taxes may apply when shipping internationally.
DO YOU RESTOCK?
As of now we do not restock most of our sold-out items. We enjoy limited production that is dictated by materials we think are interesting to use and are available from our suppliers. Once a specific “story” is sold, it is gone.
