Inspired by duck symbolism spanning from the ancient Minoan civilization to Meitei culture, the Primordial Duck collection explores a symbol that made a strong mark in the myths and legends of our ancestors. Nganu Leima is a duck goddess in Meitei mythology, the ruler of all waterfowl. The Saffron Goddess, or the Goddess of Nature from a Minoan fresco in Akrotiri dating back to 1600 BC, is wearing a duck necklace. The duck is a symbol of the divine, transition, nature, and creation, clearly respected since ancient times.
Natural stone itself is so old that it’s a perfect witness to our ancestors living and passing stories down from generation to generation. Stone, as a medium in our jewelry, is akin to paint or threads—its shapes, colors, and combinations create a living scene, a story—like a painting or embroidery.
